
Marilyn Allis is a leading British water color artist. She works in a loose, impressionistic style. Her paintings, are strong, vibrant, capturing movement, and full of energy.
Marilyn works mainly in water color, but also uses acrylic inks and mixed media. This exhibit will feature both watercolors and acrylic inks.
In 1999, Marilyn Allis won the Society for all Artists' Artist of the Year Award with her painting 'Ben at Weymouth'. Winning a Dale Rowney front page competition led to a trio exhibition in the Royal Commonwealth Society, London.
In 2000, Marilyn Allis' watercolor was accepted by the Royal Institute in Watercolor, and 2003 saw her painting reach final levels in the International Artists competition.
Marilyn Allis was born in Poole, England, and now lives in the beautiful Dorset countryside with her family.
Marilyn teaches regularly & holds workshops locally in Dorset. She also writes articles for the SAA's Paint magazine. British galleries where her work can be viewed are
